I've now made over 125 tables. This is one of three not to use Lyons sandstone! My first table, made in 1962 when I was a student at the University of Colorado, Boulder, used ceramic tiles I made in a potterry class (see below).
In any case when I found the 24" diameter round of polished composite malachite from the Congo, I knew it would make a spectacular table. In my inventory of bases waiting to be recycled I had this simple base that nicely compleminted the top. The finished product is 18" high and available on my website www.wkpaccenttables.com. You can also see it at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show at the Tucson Convention center in booth 1702-1706 at the rear of the hall Februrary 14-17.
